Davis Green Construction formerly began business in 1995 in Camden, South Carolina. H. Davis Green, Jr., started Davis Green Construction after retiring from his career as a long-time Camden bank executive and real estate appraiser. Davis was involved in the home building industry for over 45 years through his work in the banking and appraising business. In 1995, Davis began Davis Green Construction, building speculative and custom homes in Kershaw County , South Carolina.

James Davis “Jay” Green, Jr., having worked in the construction business during summers in high school and college, remained active in the home building and remodeling business after graduating from college. Jay spent 25 years working in textile sales management while also keeping his hobby of doing various remodels and speculative home building with his Uncle Davis since 1997. From new home building to historic home renovations, Jay has had the opportunity to know and work alongside some very talented and knowledgeable craftsmen of the trade, enabling him to learn many aspects of the residential construction business.

In 2021 , James Davis  “JD” Green, III , joined Davis Green Construction. Growing up around construction projects with his Dad and Uncle Davis and even helping out through his teenage years, JD enjoyed the “hands-on” work of seeing various building projects transformed.  A graduate of Wofford College and having obtained an advanced accounting degree, JD worked for a big eight accounting firm and also a large commercial East Coast construction company giving him valuable insight and experience into the residential and commercial construction industry. JD’s background brings solid financial acumen to the company where he oversees all financial aspects of the business. JD’s attention to detail in the building process along with his financial ability enables him to assist clients with their building and remodeling budget needs.
